Got questions?

Why should I invest in Portugal real estate?

Portugal offers political stability, safety, and strong property value appreciation. With affordable prices compared to other Western European markets and growing demand from expats and investors, it remains one of Europe’s most attractive destinations for real estate investment.

What investment opportunities do you offer?

We connect investors to curated residential and investment projects across Portugal — from luxury villas to high-yield apartments. We provide rental yield analysis, market insights, and access to growing regions with strong appreciation potential.

What services do you offer beyond property sales?

In addition to property transactions, Bravestone provides: Investment support: market insights, rental yield analysis, and portfolio planning Relocation assistance: schools, lifestyle advice, and community integration Legal advisory: contracts, taxes, and residency coordination through trusted partners

How do you ensure a safe and transparent purchase process?

Every transaction is carried out with full legal supervision and documentation. We work only with verified lawyers, licensed agents, and banks, ensuring that all contracts, deposits, and deeds follow Portuguese law.

Do you assist with residency or visa programs such as the Golden Visa or D7 Visa?

Yes. Together with our legal partners, we provide up-to-date guidance on the Golden Visa, D7 Visa, and other residency options. Please note: since 2024, property purchases no longer qualify for the Golden Visa, but you can still invest through other eligible programs such as innovation or cultural funds.

What documents are required to buy a property in Portugal?

Foreign buyers need: A valid passport Portuguese Tax Number (NIF) — we can help you obtain it Proof of address (utility bill or bank statement) Euro bank account (SEPA transfers accepted) Preliminary contract (CPCV) with deposit Final deed signed at a notary We assist with obtaining the NIF and coordinate all legal steps.

Can I open a Portuguese bank account remotely?

In many cases, yes. Several Portuguese banks allow non-residents to open accounts online or via power of attorney. You’ll need to provide identification, proof of address, and your NIF (Portuguese tax number). Our partners can help you handle the process efficiently.

Do I need a Portuguese bank account to buy property?

Yes. You’ll need a local or SEPA-compatible Euro bank account to make payments, receive mortgage funds, and handle taxes or utilities. We can assist you in opening an account with a Portuguese bank, even if you’re abroad.

What are the basic requirements for getting a mortgage in Portugal?

To apply for a mortgage, you’ll typically need: A valid passport or ID Portuguese Tax Number (NIF) — we can help you obtain it Proof of income and employment (e.g. payslips, tax returns) Bank statements (usually 3–6 months) Deposit funds (minimum 10–30%) We connect you with licensed mortgage brokers and partner banks who specialize in financing for international clients.

Can foreign buyers apply for a mortgage in Portugal?

Yes. Portuguese banks offer home loans to non-residents and foreign nationals. Financing is usually available for up to 70–90% of the property value, depending on your financial profile and country of origin. We connect clients with licensed mortgage brokers to support the application process.

Can I buy property in Portugal if I’m not a resident or EU citizen?

Yes. Portugal welcomes foreign property buyers. You don’t need Portuguese residency or EU citizenship to purchase real estate. We specialize in assisting international clients remotely — from selecting properties and handling legal formalities to finalizing contracts. You don’t need to be in Portugal to complete the process safely.
